Our History
Formed on August 21, 1994, with eleven members, Love Alive Ministries, its Pastor Goldia D. Wright worshipped the Lord in the home of her parents, Jimmie and Lottie Demory, in Baltimore, Maryland.

Realizing the importance of reading and studying the Word of God, the Bible Study and Prayer Ministry was implemented five days after the birth of Love Alive. As this ministry began to grow in Spirit and in size, God began to bless through gifts of supplies that are needed to carry out His ministry.

Knowing the importance of carrying out the ordinances of God, Love Alive Ministries celebrated the death, burial and resurrection of Christ with its first Holy Communion on Sunday, October 2, 1994. Shortly thereafter, on Sunday, November 20,1994, this church family was blessed to baptize three candidates who had given their lives to the Lord under this ministries.

Standing fast on the promises of God, and knowing that God had not brought us this far to leave us, Love Alive celebrated a victory that satan thought hew had stolen. On Sunday December 4, 1994, Pastor Wright stood before the examining board, received a score of "100," was ordained to the Gospel Ministry, and was found worthy of her calling of Pastor.

God continued to add to this church family. It is no secret that a larger meeting space was needed. On Sunday, February 5, 1995 Pastor Wright, through snow and ice, Love Alive Ministries moved to its former location, Lyndhurst Elementary School which God new was not our permanent home.

On Sunday, April 5, 2012, God truly blessed us for it was He who gave Love Alive Ministries a new location to call home one that He built, planting our Pastor and members on a firm foundation-a solid rock.

God has blessed this ministry. We know that it is the Lord who continues to walk with us. And because of this, we will press on towards the mark of the higher calling for we know that the best is yet to come!
